Other than trimming down the salary, Nuggets suddenly grabbed 3 good defenders in just a few days.

It seems like Nuggets are accelerating rebuilding, but the revamped lineup has not been significantly deteriorated. Birdman can do virtually all Camby does except passing, while Balkman is the next Jerome Williams who just fights for the ball everywhere, and Jones provides much-needed perimeter defensive and a proven weak-side slasher.

They may fail to earn a spot in playoff, but nobody can rule them out.

you thought the nuggets were bad defensively last year? well they lost marcus camby, anthony johnson, and eduardo najera. they will be even worse defensively this year. i think they downgraded some. and they barely made the playoffs last year, and the west just got even tougher with portland and the clippers expecting to do big things in the west. so if they even make the playoffs it will probably be the 7 or 8 seed at best.

Do you know what i would have said after the tittle of your question, why?. Those players you mentioned are a bunch of scrubs who haven't averaged 5ppg in the past couple years.

Maybe a 7 or 8 seed, but they will still be horrible on D. AI and Melo will still jack about 20 shots each to get theirs

i think that they have a pretty good chance of making the playoffs as a 8 or 7 seed but the have Utah and Portland in their division so it could be a pretty tough year for them
