Denver and Shaun Alexander?

Do you think that with Ryan Torain and Anthony Alridge out with injuries that the Broncos might be tempted to sign Shaun Alexander?

Shaun expressed interest in playing for Denver. Would you sign him for veteran experience to teach the young guys?

Pittman can only teach the young guys how to smack their wifes/girlfriends around.

  1. they should they need a running back

  2. If I was Mike Shanahan, it would take a lot of convincing for me to let Shaun Alexander on my team.  He's shown over the past couple seasons that he really doesn't have any desire to play football.  He's always been one of those kind of outsider guys, but his recent play shows that as his purely natural skills have declined ever so slightly, combined with the loss of his linemen and fullback, he's become absolutely worthless.  If he could prove to me that he really wants to play, that he won't hit the dirt everytime someone touches him, that he will hit the hole hard and stop dancing around lazily, then I would let him on my team, as a backup and insurance policy.

But really, Shaun's time has gone.  I'd wait until after final cuts to scour the waiver wire and pick up a better veteran; Lamont Jordan, just to think of one, probably won't make the Patriots' roster.

  3. Ya that would be a great move. Sign him to a one year deal & have him show Torain & Young the ropes. Last year Cleveland signed Jamal Lewis to a one year contract for an experimental thing and it worked out great the Broncos are a decent running back away from a wild card contender
