Departing Hull Kingston Rovers coach Justin Morgan has vowed to remain focused - Rugby League
The departing Hull Kingston Rover coach, Justin Morgan, is focused on the big game against the Castleford Tigers on Saturday, September 10, and presently the match-up is the only thing on his mind despite his fast-approaching departure.
Morgan joined in with Rovers in 2005 from Toulouse and led them to the Super League in 2006. Rovers have moved up in the league hierarchy to book a spot above Tigers by beating Catalan Dragons to gain their seventh win against eight games played so far by
them.
Last month, Morgan’s retirement from Hull KR was confirmed on August 4 through a joint statement Rovers’ chairman, Neil Hudgell, which was already in speculation for quite some time.
Prior to this confirmation, Morgan was also linked to New Zealand Warriors and Penrith, despite having two more years on Hull KR’s contract.
While speaking about his retirement from the Rovers, Morgan added, "I think it's time. The club has given me a great opportunity and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I have always enjoyed an open relationship with Neil and the board, to the point
that the club has been supportive in giving me permission to talk to other clubs about coaching positions, despite the fact that I am under contract.”
Rovers chairman believes that it is the right time for change to take place in the club while acknowledging that Morgan has accomplished a lot during his stay at Rovers, for which he should be proud. He also added that Morgan’s void will nonetheless be felt
by the club, in particular by him, because they both worked together to take the club in the top flight.
Hudgell mentioned that the club has shared wonderful memories with Morgan no doubt about it but the decision about his move is also rightly timed, because he believes that both parties should move on. He also stated, "I am sure the fans will show their appreciation
for his efforts between now and the end of the season, and whenever he returns to Craven Park in the future."
Since this is going to be a farewell game for many other along with Robins’ coach a huge crowd is expected on this big game which has soared up the hopes greatly. Morgan is hoping for an excellent form from  his entire squad who have  played brilliantly
in their recent seven wins.
Morgan advised to his team since 2005,to work on the technical aspect of the game. This if incorporated properly into every game that they play along with the right frame of mind, will do wonders for Robins. In other words this way Rovers will be invincible.
