Department store makeovers?

Question

When you go to Departments and you go to the makeup counters, when you want to get a makeover how much does it cost and how do you ask them to do it? Thanks!!!

I don't like them because with my skin tone, it's hard to match the perfect foundation. I have mine done for free by a beauty consultant. I've never been charged for a makeover.

Most of the time when I do it, it's free. Check out Sephora stores. Those are always free and the makeup artists even give you free samples to take home. A lot of the counters are free because they want you to buy stuff.

i went to a make up counter and it was free! she did it all and told me if i ever had a dance or date to come by and she would do it for free. i guess you just have to go and act like your going to buy. but then again me and my mom did it and by the end my mom got 200 $ Worth or makeup from her. and she even sent us a card  with a flowers and hearts?
