Stephan El Shaarawy, wide attacking player of AC Milan, has remarked on his recent performances, and stated that the departures of players helped his cause.
Having talent and potential in abundance is futile if you are not given the right set of environment to nurture that talent and that has been the case with Stephan El Shaarawy. It has only been a year since the dynamic and enigmatic star was in the shadows
of the brilliance of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 and Antonio Cassano, and was given a chance only in relatively easier matches, or in the domestic cup tournaments.
He did not have a prolific record to his name and it has to be said that the player was not always comfortable on the ball, this is true because the goals of the team were coming through their Swedish attacker. The Rossoneri were overly reliant on their
former striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and he was the highest goal scorer in the Serie A, with 28 goals in the Italian domestic league. El Shaarawy has confessed before that Ibra always demanded the ball to his feet, and due to his dominant and “bullying” nature,
he was compelled to abide and do as asked.
Even when the youngster was played, he was deputised as the central striker (at times); and Antonio Cassano and Ibrahimovic were given a more independent role in the team. This restricted and confined the movements of El Shaarawy, and he was not able to
have the impact that he desired.
While talking to the press, the AC Milan striker went on to comment that he has been given the opportunity to play up front due to the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302 and Ibra, and went on to state:
“I have to admit that I have been given the opportunity to play after Cassano left and Ibra was sold. The Coach was able to give me a bit more space in the team because those two players were used in my role. It was difficult to play when they were in the
squad.”
Ibra left Milan for Paris Saint-Germain, whereas, Cassano left for bitter rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan.
