Depo Provera please help... females only Please.?

has anyone experinced bleeding through the injection..

this is my third injection and the last two injections i had no bleeding at all and this time when i had the injection it made my arm swell up and hurt and today it made me have my full blown periods is this normal?

oh that's not unusual, I was on Depo Provera for more than two years and for the first series of shots I bled continuosly and heavily for months. It wasn't until after the 4th shot that things began to normalize.

Were you late with your shot? Being late with the shot could cause you to have your period but it is not normal to have a full blown period if the shot was received in the correct time frame. You should call your doctor or the person who gave you the shot and ask them. There may be a different problem.

yes, my daughter started bleeding and never stopped for six months. then she got off and never had a period again. but there were other issues involved. i know that depo cans cause wt gain and bleeding and i would try other options, they really are not good for you
