Im due to get my depo injection tomorrow evening but there is also a blood donation drive tomorrow afternoon.

Ive given blood before and am wondering if i gave tomorrow afternoon can i still get my depo injection in the evening?

Will i feel sick or faint if i do both?

Is it ok to do both?

Thankyou

  1. Other than getting stuck with a needle twice, they are completely seperate and won't affect you in any way more than one alone would do.  I just recommend donating blood first.

  2. Do both.

If you're uncertain about it, ask the phlebotomist about it before donating blood.  However, I think you'll be fine.  I've given blood many, many times and the questionnaire doesn't mention birth control or depo.  If the depo shot made a difference, they would ask you about it prior to your donating or they would make sure you don't get a shot within a certain amount of time after donating.

  3. As far as I am aware there is no issue
