Depo needle once-no period 6months later?????

i got the depo needle in february once havnt had it since and i havnt gotten my period since either its been 6 months im scared that its stuffed my body up i didnt wanna have it at all but my doctor urged my to as i have a 3 yr old n HAD severe depression but i want my periods back to feel normal its not right im not pregnant n thats a fact, i would like to try for another child. the doctor said it will come but when? dosnt the depo shot only last 3 months??

Depo can seriously mess up your body.  I got the depo shot at the beginning of June and will NOT be getting another one.  Like you, my doctor also highly urged me into doing the depo (because of severe pelvic pain and constant bleeding which nothing else had helped).  Now I wish I hadn't taken it.  I know it's normal for your period to be screwed up for quite awhile after going off of depo.  Although I would have thought you would have gotten your period back by now.  Your doctor might need to start you on birth control pills to get your period regulated again.  Good luck!!


  2. Even with one shot depo can s***w with your body.

    It can take up to or over a year to get your periods back.


  3. have your dr do some test asap. You should have had a period by now.
