Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna have revealed that alongside Joan Capdevila, the club also had a bid for Nelson Oliveira rejected.

Deportivo La Coruna tried to lure Capdevila back to his homeland but a transfer was surprisingly rejected, as Benfica refused to sell him.
An official statement from the Spanish outfit confirmed the failed bid but it was quite surprising that the Eagles did not let the player despite his future in Lisbon being bleak.
"A few weeks ago, Deportivo became interested in the situation of former Depor player Joan Capdevila. There was a willingness to reach an agreement between the player and club. However, Benfica announced that they will not let Capdevila leave this winter,” the statement read.
Deportivo were seemingly not content with targeting just one Benfica player and now their president has revealed that the club tried to acquire Nelson Oliveira on loan as well but it suffered the same fate as the previous offer.
Speaking to reporters, the official said that the Turks had tried to land the Seleccao International but the Liga Sagres side rebuffed their advances and rejected bids for both Capdevila and Oliveira.
