I have been trying for 3 and a half years since my miscarriage. I have had my 1st month on clomid it failed it made me really grumpy tho so was really hoping it would work. I had AF last night and i couldn't stop crying this morning so i have missed work. My question is do you think my doctor could give me time of work for depression or do u think he would stop my fertility treatment if i told him? i feel i need time of to try and cheer my self up n i can not get holiday until end off september

  1. maybe this much of stress make u not conceived yet, believe me if u don't think about ur situation and have s*x just for fun for a while ,the baby will come soon.

  2. You can research natural remedies for infertility. I am starting vitex agnus castus tomorrow, and if that doesnt help, I am thinking of trying soya isoflavones next. Getting drugs from the doctor is not your only choice.

Can you change jobs to one you like more or one that is less stressful? I dont think time off work would help cos you will just sit all day and think about TTC.

You could also try a new hobby / project to try to get your mind off the subject. A new night class to learn something you always wanted to do / redecorate / teach yourself new dishes for dinner / set one night a week for "movie night" or "cooking night" etc. I am saying this because of how many times we hear stories of people getting pg as soon as they stop trying so hard.

    Good luck xx

  3. It's definetly possible to ask to go on disability when you feel this way...just be sure they don't put you on antidepressants while you still ttc

Please read this article I attached.

Thinking of all ttc and loads of babydust***

  4. A good doctor should allow you to go on disability to get your mind straight----you are going trough alot and he/she should understand.  They should also continue fertility treatments and not stop due to your frustrations---that would be crazy!  YOu are not alone - many women try and try and try and depression - anxiety etc...come along with the territory!  Just take it one day at a time-----and be easy on yourself-----push your doctor to really help you.  Good luck.

  5. i wouldn't tell my doctor about depression if they are trying to help you conceive...they might be reluctant & question your stability & that is not a risk worth taking.

just book a week off sick & just don't keep worrying honey...it will happen when you least expect it - so try to keep your mind focussed & think positive.  i really wish you luck!

  6. well talk to ur doctor first and tell him/her the situation. only a profetional can tell!! good luck! :-)

  7. Depressed is a big word hun, feeling very low is probably what your feeling right now.

I'm sorry about your miscarriages and i cant understand how you feel because i have not been to that place.  However I've been ttc for 22 months and know the heartache that every month brings to a negative pregnancy test.

I felt like you a few weeks ago when i found out that my first iui failed, and its so normal for you to feel like this, and you would agree that picking yourself up is the hardest thing of all, especially when your in full time employment, its the last thing you want.

Does your clinic provide councelling??????  (sorry cant spell)

Maybe talking to someone who doesn't know you will help you.

In the meantime, maybe a suggestion is to speak to your boss, explain what is going on, the treatment etc and explain that you need time away.  They maybe able to give you some sick leave.

If that doesn't work, going to the doctor will bring no harm.  He/she maybe able to sign you off sick without using the word depression, as i said earlier its a big word, and what your going through is normal for you to feel this way.

I am going to send you a big hug and to let you know that your not on your own.

    xx
