Depressed because I'm in love...?

Question

I love a guy..but he's committed..he's like my best friend..I'm 22 and I've never loved someone truly like this before..I don't know how much he cares for me...I feel really depressed..I know i must forget him..please tell me something that will help me get over this..I'm in so much pain...

it may be hard, but maybe its best if you learn to love him as a friend.

i may be young but i had a really good friend i thought i loved but i know it wouldnt work cz he would never feel the same way, i let it go and now we are ok friends and id rather have him as a friend than be stupid and not have him in my life at all. sometimes we have to do whats right and not what we want.

Those feelings are completely normal.  I've had that feeling before, and I was completely honest with him.  He didn't feel the same way, and stayed with his girlfriend, but we're still really good friends and at least I know how he feels about me now.  Its going to take time.  You'll find someone who has the same feelings for you some day and then it will be amazing.  Half of the good feelings from being in love with someone are from being loved in return.  I know you probably don't want anyone else right now, but you will eventually.
