Question:

Depression, laziness, boredom or something else?

I don't know what's going on. Usually when I get depressed I "feel" depressed or I sleep a lot. That's not really going right now. But I've got a lot of major stressors at the moment and I don't feel like doing anything. I don't want to leave the house, bathe, eat, take meds, let the dogs out, clean, water the garden, interact with much of anybody--nothing. I do all these because I have to, but I'd rather just sit all day.

  1. i was like this for a while myself but excercise will do it. i am on my feeta all day at work but have gooten a new job whichi  start soon as a pet specialist. it helps me to be with animals and being around different people. try to do what ever you can to be around others and being outdoors without dehydrating yourself. i myself am bi polar and have anxiety so mail back if ther is any other advice i can offer. best of luck

  2. i feel the same way

    i guess it's because i'm just lazy :D

  3. First get your *** over to the meds and take them.  Not taking them only leads to more problems.

When you don't bathe you stink, when you don't take the dog out the house stinks, why plant a garden if you don't want to work it, if you don't want to eat than I guess in about thirty days your people can plant you when you go sneakers up and you won't have to worry who's going to come to pay there last respects cause your house will  implode because of the I don't bull-chit your flinging

Get you self up an snap out of I can smell you way over here

  4. Depression, definitely.  I did not feel like doing things I used to enjoy.  Not even watch TV.  Maybe you need to have your meds adjusted.

  5. I think it may be depression. I would go to your doc and tell him everything.

  6. Definitely depression.  Depression can manifest itself in different ways, and this is certainly one of them.  Talk to you doctor about how you are feeling.  Perhaps he can help...put you on meds (or change what you are on), or help you with some counseling.  Best of luck.

  7. Its called depression & i suffer from it too.I just try to do something even if its small. Then i try something else, and continue hopeing the time comes soon to go to sleep so i can escape.Currently i'm taking medication,157 mg of wellburtin (generic ) twice a day & it seems to help. Its the worse sickness i've ever had & i've had some major sickness in my lifetime but this is the worst.I still work & that helps but it still brothers me.I dont know what i'd do if i was rich & did not have to work---i guess i'd go the rest the way crazy.Contact me if you like maybe we can help one another.

  8. ok, i went through this a lot last year. But, I was still in school and forced to go. All I can tell you is you need to get out! Go do something you used to enjoy. Shoppinng w/ friends or something. Once you get out, you won't feel tired. You only feel tired b/c you haven't done anything all day. I know its hard for you to get out, and you think its easy for me to tell you to do this when i dont' have to do it. But, its for your own good. You dont ' wnat 1 year of your life to go to this do you?

  9. society sucks, help me change it

  10. wat is that you want to know.....no question here..s a question in the headline.....and u know the answer its dipression.

  11. Anyone who is bipolar knows you have periods of mania or hypomania, which can be followed by feeling fairly well or by feeling depressed. This is a complex topic, so much of what I write is a generalization.

Everything you have written---don't feel like doing anything, don't want to bathe, eat, clean, interact with people, etc.----are classic symptoms of depression. Depression affects different people in different ways. For one person, the symptoms may vary from year to year.

You wrote that you have a lot of stressors right now, so that can be the trigger for your current symptoms. If you have a psychotherapist, try to see him/her as often as possible. Being able to see the connection between your symptoms and your external stressors can be beneficial.  I suffer from major depression, and I go to a weekly support group for people with depression and unipolar disorder. Just sharing your experiences with like-minded people can be healing.

What helps me are exercise and relaxation methods. However, maybe exercise is too much for you right now. You might find that walking more than usual (maybe with your dogs) can be helpful.

Since you have had major stressors and more symptoms lately, it may be a good idea to consult with your doctor. At least temporarily, you might have to change your dosage of meds, or you may be helped by a new medication. You and your doctor can talk it over. If you are not getting along with your doctor, at some point you might want to look around for a 2nd opinion. Although it seems unlikely to me, you might ask for a physical checkup to make sure there are no medical problems that are related to your symptoms.

We are all different, but to a large degree I know what you are going through. Talk things over with a therapist of some kind or even just a friend if possible. I suggest pushing yourself a little bit to get things done, but pushing yourself too much can be counterproductive. This may be a time for you to kick back and relax.

Yikes, this was a long letter. Hope some of this stuff helps!!

  12. You should not take it litely.

The symtoms you described are suggest that it may be due to depresson.

You should immeadiately convey your condition to your relatives who are living with you & concern agood physician today itself.

    AND MOST IMPRTANTELY ->

Dont keep yourself alone in home or anywhere at any time in any condition.

  13. Hey, Ive had the exact same problem, plenty of times, speaking as a person who changes dramatically all the time, I dont know what it is, but I know what your feeling, all I can say is be carful, once you start lazing around youl fint yourself in a rut and its very hard to get out of.. What you can do is slowly set your self a routine, an easy one at first, wake up at an early time everyday, make sure you get up! The first thing you should do in the morning is think back to your dreams, you havnt been remembering them have you? This is a sure cause of stress, alot of poeple dont know that, dreams are very important, thats why you have to remember them! And yes you do dream! everyone dreams all the time! Its just a little harder to remember for some poeple, you just have to keep thinking thats all, once youve remembered, think about what your dream is telling you, you will be able to understand alot more about yourself and whats going on, do this every morning first thing you wake up, it will get easier, if you have a dog, walk it! Listen to music as muh as you can! Hangout with your friends, or just give them a call, youl realise how much you miss them and be suprised how much motivation and energy they give you, at the end of the day when you hop into bed (at an early time) think about your day and all the good things that happened, then think about your dreams some more..

I hope this helps, ive been though the same trouble, but Im fine now, relationships help alot! :)

    Goodluck!

  14. Those are textbook symptoms of clinical depression, you mentioned "take meds" are you currently seeing someone about your condition or are any medications for it?? If not, I would seek help from a doctor....

  15. Know how you feel. My advice. GEt up and run/walk/ jog for like 10 to 20 minutes and youll get going.

  16. i was just diagnosed with depression and social anxiety. you might have depression, but if you are really stressed, i think you might have an anxiety disorder (not a social one. theres different types). i think you need to have it checked out.
