For Prescription Drugs that Treat Depression:

Like:

Atenolol, Cymbalta, Effexor, Hydrocodone, Lexapro, Lipitor, Lisinopril, Lyrica, Mobic, Naproxen, Neurontin, Norvasc, Oxycodon, Paxil, Prednisone, Percocet, Prozac,OPAMAX, Tramadol, Zoloft,

I was wondering, on average, how long does each dose last? How long does it actually "fight" depression?

Thanks.

  1. Concur with above author.  The medications you mention are not generally regarded as "depression drugs" nor do they have much molecular similarity nor receptor affinity/pharmocokinetic nor pharmacodynamic properties.

Would you kindly disambiguate your question?

    Thank you.

  2. These are all different drugs so obviously it will vary.  Most of these drugs work by slowly accumulating in your system, so you won't see any effects right away.  When you stop taking them every day, the drugs will slowly leave your system.  How quickly depends on the drug.

How long does it last?  As long as you keep taking it.
