I am not mentally well, I know this for a fact. I cant take it, but i'm too shy to talk to someone about it, plus, no body will understand what i'm going through. I still havnt figured if it's depression or if i am just a totally messed up person. Suicide???

  1. There are lot of people who would understand what you are going through. Suicide is just such a terrible thing. I just lost my brother and I go over and over in my mind the things I wish I would have had an opportunity to say to him. He is so deeply missed by my family. You are not a messed up person. Perhaps some of your thinking has gotten on the wrong track. Please talk to someone, some kind person who will help you feel better. See a doctor. There is no need in this day and age for anyone to feel so bad. My heart goes out to you. Please don't harm yourself.

  2. Ok, from what you've just said in your question you have Depression.

Thats the thing with Mental Illness.. talking to some one is the key. Keeping things bottled up inside makes it worse (well me anyway).

Don't be shy about talking about this. Depression and Mental Illness is a VERY VERY common thing hun. So many people in the usa and uk suffer from it.

If I were you.. I would talk to someone close. Maybe a teacher at school? (if you're still in school), a family member who you get on well with, a grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, friends Mum/Dad.. you name it. In the long run you will feel so much better I promise you.

    Take care and GodBless.

  3. Go see a counselor. Even if they don't completely understand what you're going through, they might be able to help you through it. There's no reason to be shy. They aren't there to judge you.

As for suicide, I doubt you really want to kill yourself. What you want is an escape from your situation, and falsely think suicide will give that to you. The problem is, you have to be alive to feel relief. Plus, all bad situations are temporary Live long enough and you'll get through it.

  4. You definitely need to talk to a medical doctor. It does sound like you're depressed, but you haven't provided enough information to diagnose that. If you talk to a doctor, they will steer you in the right direction -- there are many successful treatments out there for people like you. Just give them a try.

  5. Suicide is a waste of time. It doesn't really have the effect you think you are looking for.

I'd try talkinng to someone. Priests are free, but IDK about shrinks and stuff.

  6. Don't be afraid to ask for help. if you are having thoughts of suicide then you are most likely suffering from depression. The only way to make it go away is to ask for help. Believe me you would be suprised at the amount of people who understand where you are coming from. Even if you join an online group and begin there, it is ok. Good luck, and keep your head up, you aren't alone.

  7. There are so many people with mental illness who feel the same way....

No one could possibly understand so why bother talking to someone when it won't change anything????

I've thought this so many times. I'll be honest with you because I know how it feels. Sometimes you are right and nothing helps the way you feel any better. It's frustrating and it makes you want to give up but if you are dealing with a lot of unresolved issues you can't expect to feel better right away. It takes time and you have to realize that getting help can be a long and painful process. I used to think I was hopeless and there was no way I'd get any better. I eventually got into therapy and started opening up to my close friends about how I felt. Once you open up and start to release what you hold in, it starts to feel better.

I still have really bad days and I'm not "cured" of mental illness but I know if I didn't reach out when I was at my worst I would probably have ended up in a place so dark I'd never find my way out of.

  8. I fell into this hole... i plucked up the corage to see the doctor, and a cousellor.. .sometimes talking to someone outside the box helps alot...

try changing something in your life... or achieve something it will help you alot.
