i think i have mild depression. i am tired all the time and im sleeping less along with aches all round plus tension headaches. my appetite has gone down a bit and i lost 4 pounds in a few weeks. i cant focus 5 mins on anything without drifting in my own thought. i am having trouble at school because of that and all the normal pressures of S****y people. i was called a ***** all the time for 2 years and just yesterday i told him to stop and still keeps at it and thats part of it. i am definitely less interested in my normal activities and my friends noticed im sad all the time and not as bubbly and more lazy. I DO NOT HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ABOUT DEATH OR HURTING MYSELF but i just want to learn how to handle this and i will excell in school sports and friends. im 14 and its hard at this time. please help. AND DONT TELL ME TO TALK TO MY PARENTS CUZ THEY WONT LISTEN NO MATTER WHAT IT IS. thank you guys so much.

  1. understandable. i am just coming out of that state myself. for me it lasted maybe three or four months. people just didn't seem real. it felt as if it would never end. i never sought medical treatment for this but it was indeed serious.

it's tough to tell you what to do. perhaps you could go the medical route. but watching funny shows like the tonight show with jay leno always made me feel better and talking about it. talking about it allows you to put thoughts into more deliberate and concise thoughts that WILL help you understand the situation better (and hence feel better).

perhaps one savior in all of this is knowing that someone else was hear too. and the promise from someone who has been there that time heals all wounds. clear up your head and someday you will laugh all of this off and be back to your good old self and things around you will feel and appear normak again.

good luck and may God bless you.

  2. Sound like your life is pretty stressed. Being a teenager is tough as you are learning about yourself and the world around you and worst of all, parents never seem to understand. You may have identify your to sources for your stress and tackle them one at a time. No problem is insurmountable and it will get better. By the way losing weight and aches all, you should get it checked out.
