Depression is starting. (not "feelings"). Many business are going bankrupt, people in debt, gas is extremely high, yesterday I went to buy a gallon of milk and it was $5+ ( last week it was $2+). How long do you think this depression will last? And do you believe it might even go up to like the "Great Depression"?

  1. If you are eating well enough to not be hungry be happy many people in the sort of expensive area not really luxurious  where i live are being foreclosed on because they really tried to live way above their earnings levels.

So they are living in friends garages and some in vans with heaters. Then they rent a motel room once a week to take a warm shower. Just imagine

trying to pay a oil bill of $1500. plus tax for three warm winter months if we had had a cold winter it would have been closer to $2259. plus tax.

    Plus 179,99 burner service.

    Plus electric $135.00 month.

Taxes 6,000 and we are in a older home the new ones are taxed $9500 to $13.500 dollars a year.

It can surely get you feeling down.

We eat a lot of spaghetti toast and soup with limited sandwiches and orange juice when we can afford it we limit the Milk for coffee and tea and cereal

    It's is about 4.20 a gallon for grade  2 percent milk-fat.

    Good Luck.

Work Work Work any part time job you can get it all adds up and will get you through it all and keep your mind busy.

    Start a garden for veggies.

  2. with all of what we are experiencing now, it is possible. it might be even worse then the 1929 great depression because even though stock markets are not yet crashing, many businesses and establishments are being bankrupt. i just hope it will not be that worse. lets just hope saving the environment is a good move to stop this bad things happening.

  3. It is possible that the current events could lead to another Depression, however it's unlikely unless careening prices are not brought under control. We (USA) taught the OPEC nations how to manipulate oil prices to enable them to bankrupt the Soviet Union. Now they are using these same tactics to bankrupt us. It would seem at times that we are our own worst enemy.  In addition, our own greed is driving up prices here. Take a look around where you live and see how little people are changing their driving habits. However, I have notice where we live in the Deep South of the United States, where huge 4x4s and towering SUVs reign supreme, that more smaller trucks are appearing on the roadways. Sadly, these ultra large vehicles are nothing but extended egos.

  4. All I know is that rice is expensive, I'd never buy milk by the gallon (calcium overload), and I'm greatly depressed.
