Toss was won by the Derbyshire’s captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Luke-David-Sutton-c73270, and he decided to at first. The conditions were good for the batsmen, as the pitch was dry.
The weather was also perfect for cricket, but the wicket was a touch on the slower side. The ball didn’t come onto the bat, as the batsmen would have liked, but still a good game of cricket was expected.
