Forced to follow-on, Gloucestershire failed to begin their second innings on a high as with only eight runs on the board they lost the services of 21-year-old, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chris-Dent-c1241, who had his stumps pulled out of the ground on a superb delivery bowled by Groenewald. The batsman walked back to the pavilion after scoring an innings of just two runs.
After the loss of this early wicket, number-three batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Benny-Howell-c1147 grabbed hold of the situation and batted their team to supremacy as they hammered the bowlers in a bid to increase the scoring rate.
Finally the massive partnership came to an end with 125 runs on the board as Howell departed after belting a knock of 64 runs.
Williamson was then joined by skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hamish-Marshall-c1525, as the duo stayed unbeaten at stumps with 106 and 32 runs to their names, helping the side amass 219 runs for the loss of just two wickets.
