Dereck Chisora calls Haye a ‘sucker who does not want to fight’ – Boxing News
Dereck Chisora will be taking on former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye on July 14 at the Upton Park in London. Both the fighters are eager to get in the ring and bash the other. The lead-up to the fight has been exciting, with both of them exchanging
words that were way beyond what anyone could expect. Now, as both of them are moving close to the encounter, the war of words is getting more intense. In his recent interview, Chisora came up saying Haye is a ‘sucker’ and he runs away from fights.
Chisora warned Haye that he will show no mercy towards him and he will be pressurizing him throughout the fight. He added, “I love fighting. This sucker don't like to fight, he's a runner. I'm going to hunt this guy. Hunt him, then whoop his backside. One
of the key factors is that I'm going to be in his face all the time. He's not going to know what hit him. My workrate will surprise him. He's going to have a big surprise anyway, so it'll be amazing.”
Even though David Haye is a better fighter than Chisora, with more achievements in his portfolio, most analysts believe Chisora might be an upset for him in the ring. Haye has not fought in a year and he is coming out of retirement. In addition, his last
few fights had him keeping a distance from his opponents and playing defensive instead of being aggressive. Dereck Chisora has an aggressive upfront fighting style. He will come right at Haye, where counter-punching will be Haye’s most important weapon. If
Haye is unable to counter-punch, he cannot expect to win the fight by just defending himself against Chisora’s attack.
Chisora is coming off a loss against Vitali Klitschko earlier this year, whereas Haye’s last fight was against Wladimir Klitschko, which ended up as his loss. Both the pugilists have suffered their last defeats at the hands of the Klitschko brothers. Therefore,
this fight is an important one for both of them, as it will decide who will face either of the Klitschkos in the future.
