Dereck Chisora reckons Tomasz Adamek has no chance against Vitali Klitschko – Boxing news
The British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora reckons the former WBC world light heavyweight champion and the former IBF, IBO and the Ring Magazine cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek has no chance against the current WBC world heavyweight
champion Vitali Klitschko.
WBC number one contender, Tomasz ‘The Granite Chin’ Adamek, is set to take on Dr. Ironfist, Vitali Klitschko on September 10, 2011 at a still-to-be-determined venue in Adamek’s native country of Poland and Chisora believes Vitali is far superior to him in
all departments.
The 27-year-old Zimbabwe-born British pugilist Chisora told the media Adamek does not have even a little chance against the 6 ft 8” Ukrainian giant.
Chisora believes Adamek, who has won 44 out of his 45 professional fights including 28 by the way of a knockout, is a small fighter who only has speed. Therefore, he thinks once he gets a Klitschko’s hit he will be not be able to stand anymore.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “Adamek hasn’t got any chance! He doesn’t have any chance in h**l. He’s a small fighter and he’s trying to use speed, but we know that you can only use speed for so many rounds until you get hit by a heavyweight
and it’s goodnight.”
Chisora in the end mentioned the Hayemaker, David Haye, who lost his WBA world heavyweight title against Vitali’s younger brother Wladimir Klitschko in a unification bout for the heavyweight titles on July 2, 2011 at Hamburg’s Imtech Arena in Germany.
Chisora said Haye did not want Vitali because he knew Vitali hits more hard than Wladimir, who is currently the WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO and Ring Magazine’s world heavyweight champion.
He remarked, “David Haye came in trying to use speed, until he got hit by a jab and he realized that these guys can hit. He realized he’s not in the same league so he had to survive. He didn’t want to go out like a punk, but he did. Knowing his elder [Vitali]
brother, his older brother can hit. He hits very, very hard.”
