Dereck Chisora vows to throw Vitali Klitschko off heavyweight reign – Boxing news
The former British heavyweight and current world number 16, Dereck Chisora gallantly remarked that he is not a feline and can blank the senses of the current world number two and WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in just the eighth round of their
upcoming bout.
The Briton Dereck Chisora gave these comments while displaying his preparations in the Finchley Gym to the media. The Olympiahalle Arena situated in Munich, Bayern, Germany will witness a huge clash between the two heavy duty opponents. Vitali will put his
WBC heavyweight gold on the line against his young emerging 28-year-old opponent, Dereck Chisora.
Dereck and Vitali both are diversified and talented heavyweight boxers who genuinely rule the boxing scenario especially in their concerned division. The Zimbabwean born Dereck who now brawls on behalf of Britain, has faced 17 challengers since 2007. Out
of all these opponents only two were able to nail the orthodox Chisora.
Dereck Chisora also known as the Del Boy is infamous for his knockouts. His 15 wins include a huge 10 by just knocking out the opponent vehemently. His knockout ratio is 52.94 percent, a respectable one, but still he is being widely denoted as a piece of
cake for the huge Vitali.
To some extent the predictions, assumptions and hypothetical analysis are true but miracles do occur and usually in an instant. Vitali clearly overshadows the Del Boy not only by his huge height and physique but also by his experience and knockout efficiency.
Vitali has been in a total 45 bouts since 1996 and has lost just two of them.
He is a 40-year-old man but the way he still fights and knocks out his opponents in a commanding and authoritative way is the aspect that makes him feared by all. Apart from this Vitali, renowned as Dr. Ironfist, has collected 40 of his victories by KO’ing
his opponents mercilessly.
Despite all these fearsome aspects of the huge Ukrainian, Dereck is confident and thinks that he can do the unthinkable by knocking out the Ironfist in the eighth round.
Dereck said, “I’m in tip-top shape, the best I’ve been in for my entire career and I’m going to smash Mr. Vitali Klitschko to bits. People are saying that Klitschko is the hardest fight of my career, but this is going to be the hardest fight of his career.
I’m going to war with him, he won’t get to use that big height and reach against me with the way I’m going to fight him and I’ve got the eighth round in my head that I’m going to stop him in.”
Both men will take on each other and will try their level best to knock the other one out fleetly and flawlessly. The bout is scheduled to take place on Saturday February 18, 2012 and will be Dereck’s career-shifting brawl.
