The Brazilian striker responded to the news that Slaven Bilic will possibly replace the under-fire manager Couceiro at Lokomotiv stadium
Vanderlei Fernandes Silva has backed Lokomotiv Moscow head coach, Jose Couceiro, to shine at Lokomotiv stadium despite a series of disappointing Russian Premier League results coupled with their failure to claim a UEFA Europa League
qualification this season.
Couceiro joined the Moscow-based club after the Russian outfit sacked Yuri Krasnozhan last year. Lokomotiv parted company with Krasnozhan after he was found guilty in a match fixing scandal.
The Russian top division winners during 2002/03 and 2004/05 league campaign found themselves struggling on the league table before Couceiro had joined them in July last year. The Portuguese tactician guided the Moscow-based club
back on track after replacing Krasnozhan by winning the first twelve games in charge.
There is little arguing that the Railroaders had a decent start to the third league round, having claimed nine points from four outings. However, they failed to find consistency in their performances.
The Parovozy are yet to win a league match since their 2-0 win against CSKA Moscow at Luzhniki stadium back in March. As things stand, Lokomotiv are at the 7th spot on the league table and a massive 19 points behind
the top spot.
If Speculations are to be believed, Lokomotiv are keeping tabs on the Croatian national team manager- Slaven Bilic to replace Couceiro. However, they might have to wait until the end of Euro 2012 if they are to get the Croatian
tactician signatures.
Vanderlei Silva commonly known as Derlei conceded that Couceiro is the right man for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 despite a series of poor league performances during the third league round.
“I am familiar with Couceiro, though I have never worked with him. But I have played against his team in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 player was
quoted as saying.
Derlei handed a vote of confidence to the former Sporting Lisbon caretaking manager despite Lokomotiv’s failure to get a European qualification this term. The Brazilian forward urged the Moscow-based club to work harder next season.
