Derrane Jake to upset Blonde Fletch in C & T Bookmakers c**k O'the North Heat 1 at Belle Vue
Blonde Fletch looks to be the strongest candidate, but Derrane Jake is all set to upset him in the opening heat of C & T Bookmakers c**k O'the North, taking place at Belle Vue on Thursday, July 26, 2012.
The black dog has been delivering good results over the past few days. After doing a lot of good work at Sunderland, J. Wright’s charge came to this track with a huge bang. In a 260 metres race, the son of Westmead Hawk demonstrated a fantastic show to ensure
the top spot by a couple of lengths.
He dominated the proceedings from pillar to post, giving his rivals no chance whatsoever. He is in such a great shape these days that the punters should not look elsewhere for the winner.
Among his rivals are: Blonde Fletch, Granard Bound, Killahara Jewel, Coolykereen Dip and Exciting Beauty. The 670 metres open race carries a cash prize of £150, and will be kicked off at 20:51 (GMT).
Blonde Fletch seems to be the biggest threat to Derrane Jake. The black dog is full of confidence after two consecutive triumphs at Coven. After grabbing the top prize by 2¾ lengths, M. Wallis’ charge carried forward his fabulous work to clinch another emphatic
victory.
Although the conditions are different at Belle Vue, one cannot overlook the momentum Blonde Fletch is in. So, he is expected to make things problematic for the rest of the pack.
Out of others, no hound is in good form at the moment. Exciting Beauty has recently made a fine solo trip over 670 metres, but luck is not on her side these days. Therefore, it might be very dangerous to trust her blindly. Coolykereen Dip was awful in his
previous two races.
Granard Bound has recently run a few good races, but in defeat. It is going to be very difficult for him to surprise the audience. Killahara Jewel has no chance whatsoever, as he is in terrible form these days.
According to our calculations, it will be a close battle between Blonde Fletch and Derrane Jake. The latter will be the underdog, and can spring up a surprise. Good luck to all the runners.
