Desalation water impact?

is deasalation water good for the enviroment

Well it actual fact no as they will be pumping river(ocean salted) water so that we can have normal water. But the polies seem to care so much about the environment that why can they not just do like in QLD, recycle water so that it can be used again for drinking, washing etc. Another one for the tax payer.

It doesn't have a significant impact on ocean levels. It is however very expensive to do.
