The University of Puerto Rico and the CCRI (Caribbean Coral Reef Institute are working together through scientific research and monitoring programs and are developing both short term and long term goals and plans.

- improve the management of coral reef ecosystems

- work with government and agencies and assisting in the management of coral reef ecosystems

- collaborate and conduct research and monitoring activities
