  1. um

    Aeroacrophobia is my phobia because

first, i hate being too high up

i feel like im gonna fall down and bang my head on a rock(ew)

moreover, open spaces are a little scary

i have no idea where an attack will come from(ex. somebody punching me)

therefore, i have aeroacrophobia, the fear of open high places(uhh..)

  2. Fear of persecution, i have it due to schizophrenia

  3. mice id rather die then even look at one. forget even touching one. never. not for a million dollars

  4. I used to have 2 weird phobia's when I was young, but they're not really phobia's so much anymore as they are unnerving.

One was Megalophobia (fear of large objects). I believe this one developed when I was about 4 or 5. I remember I was in a public park riding my bike around and I pedaled up to a water tower in the park. I looked up at it for a while and started thinking about what would happen if it somehow got punctured (I understood what effect a puncture on something with a lot of pressure had) or if a bolt or something failed and it collapsed. The combination of that plus seeing the clouds moving above, creating a visual effect of the tower moving (or in this case, falling) scared me and I stayed away from anything large like that for quite a few years.

The other was strange. I'm not sure if there is an actual name for it, but I used to be terrified of sirens. When I say sirens, I mean WWII type sirens. Like this:

It's gone away for the most part, but I'm still bothered by them. I watched Silent Hill the movie, I had a very uneasy feeling when the sirens started up. I'm not really sure why this one developed, though I think when I was little, I was standing beside a building that had a tornado siren and they decided to do a test. It might have been a dream though, I can't really remember.

  5. I do not like seeing dead bodies.  I'm not talking about some rotting body (although I don't want to see that either), but anything in a coffin.  I've lost several family members over the years, and I've not seen any of them in their coffins.

I think my fear is that, when I think about that person, all I'll remember is what they looked like dead instead of how they were in life.

  6. I have a phobia of spiders and I have a phobia of drowning and stuff.

I don't know why. I know the spider thing is common. They really freak me out. As for the drowning, I love swimming and going swimming I'm not afraid of going under water or going into the ocean I just am afraid of dying because of lack of oxygen or being under water. Like I'm afraid of dying that way. It's weird.

Also I'm clastrophobic a tiny bit. I think it's because my mom is very clastrophobic so I'm kind of like that too. Not as bad though. Like I don't want to be trapped in an elevator and when I was little I was terrified of being stuck in a bathroom so I would never lock the doors.

  7. I don't believe I have one personally but my daughter is phobic of bees.  It started as a fear before she actually got stung by one and since getting stung only once has become phobic.  She even reacts to the possibility of the presence of a bee.  I have tried to help her by taking her with me to a place that makes their own honey when I buy honey. She enjoys watching the bees behind the glass.

  8. OK, I admit it.

I have Lepidophobia. It means I'm afraid of butterflies. I'm so embarrased because it seems like such a wimpy thing to be afraid of, but I just HATE them. I don't know why no one can see they're hairy, disgusting bodies or the way their wings smossh and get everywhere! I'm so grossed out and I'm embarrassed everytime I flinch when I see one.

I have no idea how I got it. I just know I have it.

  9. I am afraid of spiders.  They can get anywhere.  They are silent and can cause skin to rot out and fall off.  I just hate them.

  10. I've asked a similar question! :)

SPIDERS!!! (and most bugs)  Spiders are definitely the worst for me.  It's not that I'm afraid they'll bite me....it's that they are just so creepy and scary to me, I almost hyperventilate if I have to kill them myself.

I'm not quite sure where it all stemmed from, but when I was a kid, my older sister used to chase me around with Daddy-long legs!  I am still terrified of them to this day.  Funny thing is, even thought they don't bother her...she's deathly afraid of spiders, too!  Oh!  And centipedes...eeeeww!!!

  11. my BIGGEST phobia is closed spaces, i know i have this because when i was like 3 or 4 years old, one of my cousins(he was like 13 or 14 at the time) locked me in a tiny closet of our apartment. since then i have been afraid of close spaces. But I'm working on it. and hopefully one day i shall get pay back and get revenge. I know that his phobia are close flames. I wont burn him but ill make it darn scary.

  12. i have a fear of Amusement parks. i love them but im scared that im gonna get lost or the rides are gonna break off and send me flying. it so weird.

i also think i might have OCD because in school i'll do a project and it'll be "perfect" then something will get smudged or teared just a little and it really upsets me.

  13. cant think of any major ones i have personally. but...

a friend of mine will not eat food if it is touching another food. some exceptions. he will eat vegimite on bread with no butter. he will eat crumbed chicken. and a few other thing like that. he will eat peas and corn together.

he wont eat any veggies that is touching his meat or the part of his meat that is touching the veggies.

also, he has to eat all of one thing before he will eat the next food on his plate.

i think this is strange, we have talked about it a lot and cant figure out why he does it.

    very interesting tho.

  14. I have absolutely NO phobias. I grew up with three brothers and if you're a girl, you cannot survive to adulthood if you have any phobias.

I'm not afraid of snakes, spiders, worms, bugs, mysterious smelly substances in jars.

I'm also not afraid of heights, the dark, being alone, being in crowded places, being in elevators --

I must be so normal, I'm abnormal.

  15. Nictophobia....I have no idea why but I am deeply afraid of the dark. its not a childhood thing but something I sorta obtained as an adult.

  16. Bugs, because they are tiny, fast, and creepy. I also hate health problems such as cancer because I know that if I get it I will have no way to defeat it physically...
