  1. I would say to mix it with water and wait untill the salt water seperate from sand(let the sand particles to settle), then pour the salt water into another container and boil it, then collect the evaporated water and cool it down. Only water will evaporate and salt remain on the container. That way u can seperate salt and sand!

  2. *...Pour the mixture into a suitable sized container and fill with warm water. Stir thoroughly to dissolve the salt.

*...Run the solution containing the sand through a fine filter to separate the sand. Wash the sand in the filter with fresh water to remove remaining salt water.

The sand can be dried in a low heat oven.

*...If you want to retain the water, distill the solution in a Lab apparatus, condense the steam and collect the water. The Salt will remain as a solid in the flask.

*...If the water isn't required, simply boil it off to atmosphere, again, leaving the salt in the flask.

  3. Filtration technique. Add distilled water to the mixture, filter it(using filter paper), the sand stays on the filter paper, the solution with contain salt, passes thru the paper onto an evaporating dish.

  4. Place the mixture in some sort of solution that will dissolve salt, such as water. The salt will dissolve into the water leaving the sand behind. Then the water can be boiled separately leaving the salt behind.

  5. I am not sure the size of the particles, but sifting might do it!

You could also dissolve them in water, let the sand (which won't dissolve) settle to the bottom, remove it, then evaporate the water and extract the remaining salt (more of a "chemistry" method ay?)

    bye for now.

  6. The salt is water soluble and the sand is not. Add water to the mixture and stir until the salt is dissolved. Drain water off into a large pan. Now you have damp sand in one container, and salt water in the pan. Heat the pan of salt water until all the water evaporates. When the water is gone just the salt will be left.
