  1. What you ask for people live entire lives to fulfill.

There are volumes of books written on slices of the time frame you requested.

You might have to open a book for yourself and do a little research on your own to fully understand what you ask for.

  2. Novelty.  The evolutionary trend is toward greater complexity - anatomically this means a more complex brain capable of speech and problem solving, culturally this means moving from the cultural models of a great ape toward the extremely complex culture of today.

  3. You're kidding, right?  You come on Yahoo Answers and want us to tell you 2.5 million years of history (biological and cultural) in our responses?  Just about anything applies.  Go to the library and open any random book.

  4. Brain size almost doubled.  Tools went from crude chipped stones to rockets that fly to the moon.  Language went from probably no more than crude grunting and a rudimentary vocalizations to the ability to integrate several languages with thousands of words and a brain that integrates them into our thoughts.  Cloths went from nothing to weaved natural  and then synthetic fibers.  It is pretty difficult to say much with certainty especially about the culture part.   We very likely expanded cultural ties and continuously increased the size of the social groups due to competition.
