I worked as a member of a grassroots team on behalf of the Democratic national committee raising funds and having face-to-face conversations with people in Minneapolis. It is the most efficient way to reach the public, and often lets us reach those that would be missed in phone calling and mailings. I was able to talk to people who were undecided, hear people's concerns about certain issues and build the party through gaining volunteer and monetary support. In the last few years, the company I worked for, Grassroots Campaigns incorporated, has increased the base of the democratic party by three-fold!
