Question:

Describe fake sincerity?

I hear a lot of people saying stuff like I want to help people, but I'm not sure if they really mean it or they're saying that to make others look bad.

I know some people mean it, and some people don't. Just wanted to know. Thank you.

  1. I guess it would be someone like one of my classmates - she always says we should go somewhere for lunch, but when I call her/message her and ask her to go with me, she always has an excuse, and that has happened about 4-5 times now. So I've stopped asking her.

I hate it when people do things like that. Why say something you don't mean?

  2. An example of fake sincerity is when you call customer service to report a problem and the customer service representative tells you he or she is sorry you are having a problem.

  3. Fake sincerity would be like,

someone tripping some one then be like

"Oh sorry let me help you up."

with a fake smile on him/hers face.

  4. Fake smiles are usually a part of fake sincerity & also not being considerate (ie-not listening to the other person, ignorant, etc.)

  5. Example of fake sincerity:

"I want to say one thing to the American people. I did not have sexual relations with that woman."
