  1. Hemoglobin is oxygen-carrying pigment found in Red blood cells. About 350 MILLION hemoglobin molecules in one blood cell with 4 molecules of OXYGEN.

  2. The impure blood is taken by the pulmonary artery to the lungs. Blood contains hemaglobin which contains hema(iron) which has a great affinity for oxygen. Oxygen is pulled in and the purified blood is taken by the pulmonary vein back to the heart from where it is transported to all the parts of the body

  3. hemoglobin.  it transports O2 (oxygen)  from the lungs to the body and transports CO2 (carbon dioxide)  from the body to the lungs.   both these reactions are reversible bindings.

there are some irreversible bindings... CO (carbon

monoxide) and glycosolated (glucose in diabetics). these remain bonded until the hemoglobin breaks down.
