  1. There is a huge moving-display board erected aloft in the compound of AIIMS, New Delhi that shows the population figure (estimate) of India from moment to moment, day to day, year to year.

    I think there should be displays like that in many places of the world.

  2. World Vital Events Per Time Unit: 2008

    (Figures may not add to totals due to rounding)

    Time unit-Births---Deaths--increase

    --------------------------------------...

    Year{135,330,281}{55,205,782}{80,124,4...

    Month {11,277,523}{ 4,600,482}{6,677,042}

    Day-{369,755}-{150,835}-{218,919}

    Hour--{15,406}-{6,285}-{9,122}

    Minute--{257}---{105}----{152}

    Second--{4.3}---{1.7}-----{2.5}

    The world population is growing by 2.5 persons per second, 218,919 per day, and 80,123,499 per year.

  3. It's getting bigger.
