  1. Water doesn't "contribute to the fitness of the environment".   Water is the environment for life.   Water is life, and life is water.  Living cells are made almost entirely of water.   No living things can exist without water as far as we know. Without water there is no fitness of any environment to support life.  Life evolved in water. Before there was water on earth there was no life.


  2. Most animals are made out of water dust made out of carbon. So if there wasn't any water the animals would just be dust. And they would blow away.

    That's probably why there are no animals on the moon.

    Interestingly, there is a lot of dust on moon. So far, scientists have been unable to conclusively establish whether or not some or all of the dust was animals. Tests continue.
