Describe in graphic detail the anatomy of a rubber band..

I'm actually fascinated by them. nothing sets me up for the day like a good rubber band..

i may become a 'Rubberbandologist' when I'm older.. does no one else just love them?

    Very versatile pieces of equipment used to hold structures or  twang between your teeth to make an interesting sound.

    an interesting pastime in offices in days gone by was to twang them up  to the ceiling at just the right range of trajectory so they  would hit softly and be compelled to stay up there by friction. My office was almost brown and visitors were met  with slight showers of  softly plopping bands.

    me I love the really thick ones that you can wear on your wrist without making hideous marks - They make emergency rubbers and twined round the top of a pencil mark it out as your own.    

    Yes I do think its very sad when they are discarded in the street.

    I have a drawerful but they do deteriorate and become unreliable and there is nothing like the disappointment and having your  wrist slapped by a rogue band thats lost its major function and whiplashes back on you .
