  1. one thing that i know is that marine mammals like whale and dolphin, have the ability to hold their breath longer than terestrial mammal. They have a specialized respiratory system that could do inhale and exhale in a same time and in count of seconds.

    Myoglobin is the other form of haemoglobin in marine mammal. It has the same function as haemoglobin (binds oxygen) but the difference lies on the location. Myoglobin is found in body muscles, so that means it could bind more oxygen that haemoglobin (if i'm not wrong it could reach 3 times stronger or more).
