  1. From the ground up:

    Troposphere

    Stratusphere

    mesosphere

    thermosphere

    exosphere

  2. The five layers are troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere and exosphere.

Troposphere:-This extends from sea level to 8-16 km above the earth's surface. The height varies with season and latitude-- heighest at the equator and lowest at the poles. Temperature falls with altitude,on an average by 7 degree per Km,down to a minimum of -58(minus 58) degrees celcius.Ninenty-nine percent of the weather happens in this layer.

Stratosphere:- This reaches to 50 Km above sea level.Temperatures can drop below freezing. The ozone layer is located in the stratosphere, about 24 km above sea level.Volcanic dust and some industrial chemicals, such as CFCs,find their way into this layer and damage the ozone layer.

Mesosphere:-This extends to 80 km above sea level.Temperature decreases with latitude to -110(minus 100) degree celcius at the top of this layer.

Thermosphere:-This layer reaches to 600 km above sea level. It contains a region called the ionosphere, where atoms and molecules become electrically charged by solar radiation, which generates heat.Temperatures rise dramatically reaching 1700 degree celcius on the outer edge of the thermosphere. Some radio transmissions from the earth  are reflected back by this layer.

Exosphere:-This outermost layer continues until it merges with the inter-planetary gases of space.Temperatures range from 300 degree to 1700 degree celcius.Helium and hydrogen are the main elements, but molecules are widely spaced and the lack of gravity allows gases to escape into space.Short wave radio waves are reflected back to earth.
