  1. usually include single cell organism, although there are some that are multicellular or live in colonies. They have no evolutionary relationship to each other. Some are know as zooplankton, others phytoplankton.  Some are autotrophs and can make their own food and other are heterotrophs and must find their own food, and some can do both.  Most of the think that the kingdom of Protista contain only the algae but as you can see that is not true.
