  1. Heat is the form of energy that is transferred between two systems (or a system and its surroundings)  by virtue of a temperature difference. Heat flows from a system, medium or body of higher temperature to a system, medium or body of lower temperature


  2. Temperature is a measurement of heat.  If you were to say something is hot, you are describing its temperature.  Its "hotness" is its heat.  Heat itself is a form of energy.

    Heat flows in an outward direction from the source to a colder object / area.
