Describe the intervals on which the function is continuous? please help me!!!?

and i also need help on...

f(x)= x,x (less than or equal to) 0

x+1, x>0

Well, the function is continuous except at that pesky little point 0.

So it is continuous at x < 0 and x > 0

I don't understand what the second question is.
