Describe the personalities of Shakespeare's female characters?

I need to know the personalities of female characters from the works of Shakespeare.

  1. for the most part typically Elizabethan women. some very strong personalities though, like Lady MacBeth, Portia, Rosalind, Viola, Kate,  et al.  Mostly subserviant to their fathers and brothers, but very self sufficient for the most part.


  2. While I agree with both 1 and 2, I'm most inclined to agree that to do that FOR YOU here, in the few dozen female characters scattered throughout WILLIES work, could take volumes.

  3. Any particular ones out of the thirty-some plays, sonnets, and poetry that Shakespeare wrote?

    That's a lot of female characters, considering there's usually at least three or four of 'em per play.
