Not totally sure but if you look at the sound waves produced by say, breaking glass (yes you'd need a special machine). they would be random  spikes/peaks. Whereas musical sounds have some kind of pattern to their sound wave and we perceive it as pleasant. Also you can reproduce the sound. But, each to his own I guess.
