I've thought about this...

On a lake, with a couple acres to myself.

A house that is not too small and not too big.

A nice kitchen and nice bathrooms.

A porch, part of it enclosed and made so that it can be shut up for the winter and used with a wood stove to heat it.

A dining room off the porch with one wall that can open up with French doors between the porch and the dining room.

The master suite is the third level, with windows all around and some sort of window treatment that can completely block out the light if needed, but for the most part I like to wake up to the light.

As energy efficient as can be.

A finished basement that is made into a theater with surround sound and a large monitor or screen to watch movies on and enough room to invite friends and families to watch.

A house on the property for my mom. Something manageable for her take care of. Something that she has decorated exactly the way she wants.

A large fenced in area so the dogs can run free.

Of course, kid friendly as well.

All of this in a nice small community with local small businesses and fun little events all year long.

I want my very own place to be in a safe, clean, and most of all, quiet neighborhood.  I want it to be surrounded by an abundance of trees, plants, flowers, and all other wonderful objects of nature.  I want to have my very own sound-proof room, a study / library, a meditation room, a place where I can dance / exercise, and a relaxing garden.  I want it to be a cross between a spa and a temple.  I want it to be a place where I can work productively, play and have fun, have a meaningful time with family and friends, and feel refreshed.

hmmmm...., beside a river, a stream or a lake, or a house residing on top of a hill with a spacious lot, for my flowers and trees.. a house just enough for my future family...
