'ditsy' means being scatter-brained; silly; without seriousness or depth; unintelligent; without any common sense; spacey; punch-drunk; out-of-focus and air-headed. the problem with people who are 'ditsy' is that it can get 'theatrical' and annoying. it isn't often i come across such people but when i do, i see them as persons in their own little world. it's hard for me to take them seriously when they themselves act like caricatures. i see it as an act [of helplessness] put on in order to gain attention of some sort. i just can't see that a person could be as disintegrated and 'not all there'. i would mostly observe it in in a person's style of manner[e.g.talking, speech, movements, and facial expressions]. sometimes i think they act ditsy in order to appear 'cute' and it may or may not be at certain moments but they definitely can't be seen as sophisticated. i won't 'look down' on them just as i won't 'look up to' them either. however, i respect them as persons in their own right but my interest doesn't go any further.

Ditsy- an ignorant person who only regards themselves and their own opinions and who's only knowledge is the latest fashion, make-up product, or celebrity garbage. Most identifiable with females, but can be sited among men.

Yes i look down upon them because they're stupid, they tend to talk out of their *ss often because they don't THINK before they speak, and since they're pretty self-righteous about everything it's completely annoying to hear them blab about themselves, be it how awesome they are or their lives, OR how victimized or depressed they are because people aren't kissing their *ss when they look for attention.....

Wouldnt' be so bad if what they said made SENSE and was more intelligent and compassionate..but then they wouldn't be called ditsy anymore.

I do tend to look down upon people who are labeled as ditsy. Of course, I do not just listen to what people say, I find out for myself. To me ditsy means a person of superficial qualities who has a low IQ level. Most likely these people are fake and flaunt their bodies in a meritricious mannor. For example, I know this girl who isn't stupid but pretends to be. She is ditsy because she is fake, self-centered and acts annoyingly.
