  1. sarah brown is a "mission doll". shes just really sweet and innocent, always trying to help people, never dealing with her own problems. she believes in love at first sight (as she says in the song "ill know") and she wants to do whats best for the mission.

  2. Sarah Brown belongs to the Save-A-Soul missionary which is dedicated to rid the world of evils of gambling; she is very pretty, unusually strict, very pious, doesn't want to involve herself w/gambling or gamblers (i.e. Sky Materson), but also has dreams of having the right man come along to her. It only takes a night in Havana for her to realize that she loves Sky (drunkenly, I might add!), as well as later on in the show that Sky kept his word to bring gamblings to the failing Save-A-Soul mission.

Hope this helps! Have you seen the movie at all?

  3. Sarah thinks she knows where she wants her life to take her and what she wants from it - and then Sky Masterson comes along and blows it out of the water.  She's fairly naive, has immensely strong faith, loves her little "Save-A-Soul" mission and also puts a lot of weight on the opinion of Arvide who is her grandfather (?).  When Sky kisses her for the first time it throws her world into turmoil - she's never known feelings like that before!  She thinks she knows exactly the kind of man she'll marry (as described in the song "I'll Know") and that man is not a gambler, and certainly not Sky Masterson!  When she loses her heart to him, she loses it completely.

  4. She has surpressed her sexuality.  She is afraid, yet tempted by men.
