The Xyloph Terraforming Project is going according to plan. It is nearing the stage in which the ecosystem specialists will develop the biotic and abioitic conditions suitable for the species that will make Xyloph their new home. As the botanist for the project, you must educate the ecosystem scientists and engineers about the functions of the different parts of a plant. With an understanding of each plant's requirements, the scientists and engineers can then adjust the new environment to better meet the needs of the plants. Your explanation should include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Description of plant parts including roots, stems, and leaves.
• Information about the relationships among the different plant parts.
• Explanation of the functions of the typical plant.
Give enough detail so that the average non-botanist will understand the terms you use as you give them a good overview of plant function. Your answer should be two or three well-developed paragraphs.
