Descriptive words or phrases?

I am doing a descriptive paragraph on the start of someones race, a female that is. I want to be able to describe the water, outside setting, and her appearance.

any good descriptive words you'd reccommend?

    Instead of trying to think of descriptive words in isolation, why not use your five senses as you talk about the water. the setting and the girl (or woman).  You don't have to use every sense for each of these, but it will help you brainstorm.

    Also, similes are good in description.  "Her hair was golden like the sun." (That's not a very good one, but you get the idea).  Similes really help readers see the person.
