Desert Boy determined to win Heros Race
Desert Boy is fully determined to draw a sterling success in The Chambers Celebrating Our Heros Race that will take place at Sheffield racecourse on Tuesday night, May 15.
The A. McKenna-trained black dog will break from the red box when the action begins at 19:26 (GMT). On the flat track of 480 metres, the dashing dog will compete against Farloe Lenson, Honey Wagon, Turnabarson Blue, Fatboyz Romeo and Clerihan Gold. The prize
purse contains £200.
Desert Boy has been in good form since the dawn of 2012. After winning a big race each on January and March, the veteran hound elegantly accomplished three classic triumphs in the month of April.
The maverick sprinter excellently grabbed a runner-up rank and an epic victory on May 4 and 11 respectively. This fantastic purple patch has boosted up the dashing dog’s morale to a great extent.
At the moment, the son of Droopys Kewell out of Express Charm is carrying a lot of confidence and fighting spirit that will lend a great hand to him in the Heros Race.
If Desert Boy runs to his best and makes an accurate use of his capabilities, his chances to thrive will be as high as 93 percent.
Fatboyz Romeo can impede Desert Boy in the race. The J. Bentley-trained blue and brindle dog too has a number of classic feats to his name. The four-year-old experienced hound bagged a couple of consecutive conquests in September 2011.
The son of Westmead Hawk out of Borna Fence extended his winning momentum to 2012 as well and gained a runner-up rank along with an amazing win in the month of April.
Clerihan Gold is also likely to do well tonight. J. Sharp’s brindle dog is sharp enough and he has proved himself well on various occasions. The brindle dog won a big race each on March 27 and April 10.
In this situation, there will be a fierce battle at Sheffield. Desert Boy will have to pass through some arduous challenges in order to thrive. The race will have many twists. Let us see who gains what. Good luck to all the hounds.
