Desert Joe to trouble the judge in Monday’s A2 500m Flat at Sheffield
Desert Joe, A. McKenna’s black dog, is highly likely to be in total command when crossing the wire in A2 500m Flat, taking place at Sheffield on Monday, November 26th. He showed a great performance on his return to this class a few days ago, capturing the second place with ease.
The son of Crash was demoted at the start of this month, when he finished fifth at this level. He quickly got his act together, and registered an excellent victory on November 13th. After leaving the second box, he always stayed ahead, and eventually secured the top place comfortably by one and a quarter lengths.
On his comeback to this class, he continued the marvellous work, but remained unlucky. The February-11 hound missed the gold medal by one and a half lengths on his latest ride. He has started performing consistently, and looks in an excellent position to do the damage today.
Other hounds in the pack are: Longrange Chic, Cabriol Shamrock, Rhincrew Luke, Eau So British and Demesne Master. The exciting battle is scheduled to get started at 13:58 GMT. A cash prize of 110 pounds is reserved for the successful hound.
Rhincrew Luke is facing a very still task, and could be neglected in betting. Despite the fact that the brindle dog was a close winner last time, it is hard to recommend him. Eau So British would have finished closer without the mess last time. The white and black dog got crowded in the beginning and as a result, could only finish second behind Kauto Jet.
Cabriol Shamrock looks sure to be an active player when it matters most. But trusting him blindly is not recommended, because the black and white dog is coming off a terrible loss. Similar is the case with Demesne Master, who was at bottom of the chart last twice. E. Parker’s trainee normally stays sluggish at the traps.
Longrange Chic will have bright chances of making the money in case of a trouble-free passage. Otherwise, she will be able to do nothing special. We wish the best of luck to all the participants.
