  2. She could use velcro and turn the alphabet into a matching game.

Like for example: make the first page purple. Paste each of the letters onto the book. Then make little purple pieces (matches the page color) with a picture of an object that begins with those 5 or 6 letters. Put velcro on the back and let the child pull off the velocrowed pieces and match them. Do the same with the next five or six letters, and then the next five or six, and so on. Don't do more than that in one color, or the child will get overwhelmed and confused.

  3. puppy dogs.. use a D, ummm a, apple, (coloring book) b, banana, c crayon, d dog, e elephant, you can find these on the internet.

  4. 1. why not make a dot to dot connection activity.

    2. how about cut out pictures of baby animals to be paste beside their mothers.

    3. color by numbers.  ex. portion of the drawing with number 1 on it should be coloured  by red.

  5. we did the exact same thing at our highschool, why don't you do a pop up book with letters and pictures matching the letter

  6. The more hands-on the better, so why not print out a bunch of file folder games and put some sort of pocket on each page to store the pieces. That way they would interact with the book and even get to use manipulatives which are so important and popular in education now. Here's a link to some file folder games:
