Design ideas wanted, What colour should I paint my lounge?

I have a black and white sofa - link below

Most of room is black, white, red, silver but as its new house walls are classic magnolia!! What colour should I paint the walls, to freshen up colour but without it looking a mess? As sofa is patterned its tricky to be creative!

All ideas welcome!

Your colour sense is a nightmare. Stick to magnolia or smilar, then you will gradually acquire good taste.

I agree with the idea of a bright color, the blue or even a teal. Often when you have such bold colorings throughout the room another bright totally different color upon the walls works well. Look around the beach or travel section of your local paint store until something makes you feel happy.

You need a very plain but quite bright colour to go with that. I'd suggest a feature wall painted the blue of the "Preview" button and the other walls a pastel shade of the same blue. Then you want either stripped pine flooring or black stained flooring.

I would go with a red...not a bright one but a deep one. We have black sofas and red walls and it looks amazing.
